50 years ago the grandparents Anton senior with Ingeborg built the Brandtnerhof. The name comes from the former farm, Oberbrandnerlehen.
One could be mighty proud: At that time, one of the first guesthouses in Königssee, where you could offer accommodation with shower / toilet in the room and running hot water.
When Anton Jr. joined his parents’ business at the end of the 80s, the restaurant business was added and cooking was also done for guests from outside the house.
In 2007 son Anton and his wife Margit took over the business and over the years a large part of the rooms have been completely renovated.
Now the change to the next generation is imminent: Christina, Anton and Margit’s niece, a trained cook and tourism businesswoman, will take over the business with her partner Peter from January 2023 and continue the guesthouse with restaurant operations.
